Getting to know Lisa Mercadante
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Jersey, dedicated to helping you achieve optimum mental health. I earned my Master's in Clinical Social Work from Monmouth University and have worked in social services for more than 25 years. My extensive background includes supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and their families as they navigate life's challenges. I have experience assisting with a wide variety of troubling feelings related to anxiety, depression, life stressors, grief and loss, as well as trauma. Together, we will explore your needs, identify strengths, and review what is and is not working.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a professional, I provide psycho-education and tools to change old patterns so you can achieve emotional wellness and improve relationships. I provide meaningful and effective care to individuals and couples by taking a strengths-based, person-centered approach while providing support and encouragement.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our first session will be learning about one another and establishing your goals for treatment. My goal is to help you build confidence and feel encouraged that you can successfully navigate life's transitions. I am a great listener, naturally optimistic and enjoy helping people. I would love to join you on your journey of growth so you can achieve your goals.
