My name is Lisa Nash Adams. I am a seasoned clinical social worker with 33 years of experience. I earned my undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Master's in Social Work, both from Howard University. I received my clinical license in 1998 and currently hold licensure in Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and South Carolina. Throughout my career, I have worked in private and public schools, mental health hospitals, outpatient facilities, early intervention programs, hospitals, and child protective services. I have provided crisis intervention, as well as individual, group, and marital counseling. My experience spans working therapeutically with children, teenagers, adults, and elderly patients. I welcome anyone seeking support and solutions to discover the techniques that work best for them. Peace of mind is essential in our daily lives, and I am here to help you face your struggles head-on and empower you to overcome them.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session will consist of gathering information. You can expect in our next sessions, a confidential comfortable environment. We will work on self monitoring and regulation so that you recognize symptoms or triggers to you becoming anxious, depressed etc.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
