What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that every healing journey begins with one small step. I am sensitive to the interrelatedness of mind, body, and spirit and approach my clients holistically; in other words, as bio-psycho-social-spiritual beings—several theoretical perspectives are integrated and adapted to meet each client’s unique needs, desires, and values. I also have deep reverence and respect for our innate healing intelligence and embrace the archetype of the inner healer. I tend to my clients with radical empathy, non-judgment, and compassion, and strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where their process of individuation can unfold, and trust in their unique gifts is restored. My approach is intuitive, integrative, collaborative, heart-centered, culturally-sensitive, practical, and trauma-informed, and is guided by process philosophy, transpersonal science, psychedelic science, and ecopsychological perspectives. I view each client as unique, dynamic, and worthy of support, understanding, and love, and counseling as a collaborative process where the counselor and the client go on a journey together; at the peak of the experience, both are transformed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At Earthrise Counseling, all prospective clients receive intake paperwork and self-report questionnaires that must be completed prior to scheduling their Initial Evaluation session. Once documentation is complete, clients are scheduled for an Initial Evaluation session (70-90 Mins) where intake forms and questionnaires are reviewed, a biopsychosocial-spiritual assessment is conducted, and treatment goals are defined. Following the Initial Evaluation, counseling sessions (50 Mins) are then conducted on a weekly to bi-monthly basis as indicated.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $200 for 70 minutes
Ongoing session: $150 for 50 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay

More information on payments and coverage

Earthrise Counseling utilizes an income-based sliding scale tier system. Documentation of income or financial burden supports equitable application and is required. Fee tiers may be adjusted if a client’s circumstances change. Sliding scale arrangements are reviewed periodically to ensure clarity, consistency, and ethical practice. Fee agreements are discussed as part of informed consent, and any changes are documented in the clinical record. At Earthrise Counseling, we understand that seeking support can be challenging, which is why we offer sliding scale spots on our caseloads to provide care at a more accessible rate than our standard fee to assist those who are most vulnerable. We deeply appreciate those who can pay the full fee, as a portion of your contribution helps support vulnerable populations who need access through a sliding scale option. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. We kindly ask that if your circumstances change and you find yourself able to contribute more while using the sliding scale, please share that with us. Our fees are designed to support vulnerable populations who may not be able to afford the full rate, and your support can make a meaningful difference. We acknowledge that cost may present a concern, and wish to clarify that we currently have a limited number of sliding scale spots available.
