“It was with Lisa I was able to learn why certain patterns in my relationships continued to occur and she ultimately helped me gain the confidence in setting applicable boundaries to break them. I appreciated her expertise around holistic practices and often left sessions with suggestions to make lifestyle changes; these led to sustainable improvements I felt firsthand in my relationships. There are a lot of options for therapy these days but I continued to see Lisa because of the safe space she created for me.”

Getting to know Lisa Randazzo

Hi, my name is Lisa Randazzo, a Holistic Psychotherapist, and human, and I get it. I've been there. I was the one who cared for everyone else and tossed my own needs aside. I would make sure my dreams weren't too big and I stayed small because the idea of failure was so strong. I would have goals but never follow through because I didn't think I was good enough or capable. As a result, I was in a constant state of anxiety. The thing is I didn't know that there was another way to live. All I knew was that I felt an almost constant discomfort within myself that I continued to push down until I no longer could. It wasn't until I was in my 20s that I realized this way of life was no longer serving me and I needed to figure out another way. I went to therapy and came to know what I was experiencing, why I had those tendencies, and how my nervous system was telling me stories about myself and the world. I received my undergraduate degree from Hofstra University and my master's degree in social work from Adelphi University. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked in inpatient and outpatient oncology units and mental health clinics.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My personal experience is what inspired me to become a therapist. I wanted people like you to feel seen and understood, and to know you’re not alone. I learned the best way to do this was to understand how our minds and bodies are connected and consider the whole self.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I utilize a holistic approach to the therapeutic process. I am a strong believer in Neuroscience and Mind-Body medicine. Our sessions will focus on the mind and body connection; teaching breathing exercises, meditation, the importance of gut health, sleep, and the significance of the nervous system on the healing process. This will include practices such as CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, and Somatic work.

Lisa worked with me via zoom for several years. She was extremely professional, kind, and knowledgeable of techniques to help ease my stress. Even through zoom I felt like I was getting very effective help. When it was time to part ways she was flexible and understanding. I highly recommend lisa!
Lisa was the first therapist I ever went to. She helped me during a very dark period in my life. Her bedside manner allowed me to open up like never before. She was also very accommodating to my schedule which can be very difficult. Thank you Lisa for helping me get my life back !
Lisa is an amazing provider, offering warm, kind, connective care. She knows when to push and when to listen, and meets her clients where they are. I worked with her for a little less than a year and she made a huge difference in my life.
I worked with Lisa weekly for 1.5 years, and wow am I grateful. I started working with her during a time of crippling anxiety and insomnia. In great part due to Lisa's guidance and support along with my willingness to let go of old patterns, my life completely transformed during our time together. Since then, I've been able to use what I learned during our time together to be able to support and trust myself. :) Lisa is incredibly compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive. She develops healthy relationships with her patients where it is not about her being a "guru" but rather about her helping you tap into your own truth, strength, and abilities, and developing resources and tools to care for yourself. I really appreciated the combination of mindfulness and somatic healing practices she offered alongside talk therapy. She helps support your accountability for your own life and knows just the right questions to ask. I recommend working with Lisa!! Best therapist I've ever had.
Seeing Lisa was incredibly helpful. I felt like there was structure to our sessions, she helped me map up clear goals for the sessions and the work we were focused on. I met with her for several months and afterwards felt very empowered by the tools she taught me and insights we had uncovered about the issues I was dealing with. She is easy to talk to. Highly recommend! I wasn't familiar with EMDR beforehand but she walked me through everything and I found it very helpful.
Lisa is very easy to talk to and open up to. She is reliable, responsive, and kind. In our sessions, we've used a handful of tools (meditation, EMDR, talk, worksheets and homework, etc) to help me heal the pain of past memories and live in more freedom. I highly recommend Lisa!
Lisa has done unremarkable work throughout my therapy process. She has guided me to find self empowerment and bring insights to light that have allowed me to make many positive changes in my life. Her knowledge and practice of EMDR has greatly helped in working through my trauma and ultimately allowing me to live my life without feeling a shadow on me at all times.
Lisa is an incredibly kind, compassionate, thoughtful clinician. She offered me a great deal of space to explore the issues I was hoping to address and guided me through many different techniques to best address my concerns. She cares deeply about the individuals she sees and I am grateful to have found someone who appreciates and honors my need to understand the why behind the methods. I know that I am in a better place because of my time with Lisa and cannot recommend her highly enough.
