Hello, I'm Lisa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW degree and over 15 years of experience working with diverse communities in the Kansas City area. It is my honor to assist individuals in finding their own voice and life path when they feel overwhelmed or burdened by competing needs for their time and energy. I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and addressing the unique issues and concerns that affect us as a marginalized population. My personal belief and experience show me that my clients are the absolute experts on themselves and truly hold many of the answers they are seeking already. I see my role as that of a facilitator, listener, and advocate, with the understanding that being allowed to speak our truth out loud helps bring freedom and needed change. My style comes from this place, and so I approach each session from a place of respect and readiness to listen to you. I am not here to judge but to support you in living your highest truth in a way that feels honest, authentic, and right for you. In addition to my work with the LGBTQIA+ community, I also specialize in addiction, anxiety, gender identity, grief and bereavement, life transitions, perinatal support (including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum), spirituality, and stress.
