“Being referred to Lisa from a good friend, I have only had 5 sessions with her, and I can honestly say I have connected with her so well. I have had many therapists in my lifetime so far and Lisa is by far the best so far. She not only is warm and inviting but she challenges me in ways no other therapists have. She listens and is kind and empowering. I feel so comfortable talking to her and opening up. I truly look forward to my every week therapy with her!!”

Getting to know Lisa Vargo

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Clinical Supervisor, and owner of Storybook Counseling. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of West Florida. I empower women in their journey of self-discovery and healing. I specialize in helping women and teen girls who feel held back by anxiety, low self-esteem, mood swings, procrastination, obsessions/compulsions, and self-doubt. Life transitions can be difficult, and as women, we experience a multitude of these changes. These challenges can arise in early adolescence, during pregnancy and motherhood, in the workforce, or through health issues. Feelings of anxiety can present differently for everyone. I am here to walk with you during this journey! Together, we can improve your coping skills, explore your purpose in life, and find meaningfulness in each day.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Is this how you imagined life? Is this what happily ever after is supposed to look like? You constantly ask yourself “what if?” You tell yourself you will not reach your goals. You feel like you are not good enough, things are not supposed to feel this way, and this isn’t the life you imagined. You put everyone else’s needs first and you put yourself last. At times you feel like you are running on autopilot. I help women who struggle with pc_GncgQ0IoZUScifxGmnNvSx, perfectionism, self-doubt, procrastination, and imposter syndrome. My clients want to move past these negative emotions and set better boundaries while prioritizing themselves.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
