Lisa Wilkins-Blount, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
In a world where you are taught to shrink back, therapy awakens your authentic giant. Together, we create a space to facilitate healing, strengthen your intuition, and grow spiritually. I provide a space where young adults and women—particularly Black and BIPOC women—can show up and feel supported. Racism, discrimination, and microaggressions can cause you to question your self-worth and contribute to feelings of anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. By creating a safe, nonjudgmental space, I partner with you to develop a spiritual connection, unpack your emotions, and move forward. As a Black woman and mother, I've experienced triumph, trauma, hope, and despair from interpersonal and systemic oppression. I feel called to contribute to change for Black people and anyone who doesn't meet the typical standards set in American culture. As a psychotherapist with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College, I am committed to the well-being of people from diverse backgrounds. I have developed a mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive practice that empowers you to achieve liberation. We work together to dream, discover our passions, remove blocks, and create fulfillment. You aren't reading this by chance, so trust your gut. If you are looking to create a better life for yourself, finding a therapist is the first step.
