What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use or behavioral addiction, the after effects of traumatic experience, a sense of disconnection from your partner or are grieving the loss of a loved one, I would like to help. I seek to create a safe, warm and open environment where you will feel comfortable talking about the feelings that accompany these mental health challenges — sometimes lifelong in duration — particularly feelings and experiences that may have been difficult to reveal, resolve or discuss with others in the past. I invite you to begin this journey with me. Together, we will strive to find a path toward greater wisdom, open unexplored avenues that allow more joy to enter your life, find healing through a new way of understanding ourselves and connect more genuinely with others.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to improve how my patients feel as they face each new day and provide techniques that expand the ability to experience greater intimacy, passion, love and joy in life’s most meaningful relationships. It’s my belief that our emotions, mood and ability to genuinely connect with others are the result of many factors. We are the sum total of countless memories and sensations (some remembered, others suppressed), how we learned as children to attach emotionally to those with whom we were closest, and the interplay of these as they daily interact with our genetic predispositions. In your treatment, I will utilize a blend of the most transformative therapies I have studied over the years that speak to this complex interface of factors.
