Hello, I’m Lisette. Congratulations! If you are reading this, it means you have taken the first step in seeking support for your mental well-being. Perhaps you are struggling with day-to-day stresses, anxiety, overwhelming sadness and depression, or have some past trauma interfering with your present experience. Whatever the reason, recognizing you would benefit from professional guidance means you desire to be the best version of yourself! I would be honored to help you on this journey. But before we begin, I’d like to share a little about myself to help you decide if I am a good fit.
I have over 25 years of experience in social service and mental health. My work includes foster care children, family work for the Children and Youth Department, supporting homeless families, and providing therapy in an urban high school with at-risk adolescents. I loved working with this population most, perhaps because I realized I would have benefitted from guidance and support as a teen.
My story is not unique, but my journey is. I am a Latina born to teen parents who arrived from Puerto Rico. My first language is Spanish. I grew up poor in the inner city and moved frequently after my parents separated. I witnessed my father’s alcohol abuse, domestic violence, and my mother’s depression as she struggled to raise two daughters alone while pursuing her education—all before age 8! I survived by focusing on school, which paid off. For high school, I received a full scholarship to a prestigious boarding school and studied abroad for a year. This experience showed me there was more to life than what I experienced as a child.
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University, equipping me to support others on their mental health journeys.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My goal is to be supportive and help guide you in becoming the best version of yourself. What that looks like totally depends on you. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership. I will show up and be present for you. I will meet you where you are in your journey to emotional healing. We will work together to address the stresses or unhealthy thoughts and behaviors that have brought you to therapy. We will address things like self-esteem, overcoming past traumas, coping strategies, healthy relationships, and the impact of anxiety and depression on the body and soul. Ultimately, my goal is to help you develop self awareness and walk away with valuable tools to that will help you feel emotionally healthier and empowered.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
