Getting to know Lissette Ayala

Have you found yourself becoming more withdrawn, hypervigilant, anxious, or relying on alcohol, food, or screen time to cope with stress? Sometimes we need a little extra support to gain clarity and explore other perspectives. Let's work together to explore healthier coping skills and make these situations feel less overwhelming for you.
I believe a respectful, supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free relationship is important for therapeutic healing. I am warm, caring, and supportive. My specialties include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, parenting, relationship concerns, and sex therapy. I work from a mindfulness approach and am CBT- and solution-focused oriented.
I enjoy working with clients of diverse ethnic backgrounds, cultures, genders, and sexual orientations. I believe in the power of choice and each person's ability to achieve their desired goals. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University and a dual Master's in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

My first season was great! She showed interested in getting to know me and my history. Asked me questions, listened to me and gave me her undivided attention. Also she was clear about what could I expect from her as a therapist and how our first few session would go.
