Getting to know Liz Kearney

My clinical background includes working with young adults, adults, and families in both individual and group settings. I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, school-related issues, life transitions, and bereavement, and I am passionate about working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. I focus on creating a safe and warm environment for every person, regardless of age or background. Understanding that each client is unique, as are their mental health needs, I foster a client-centered atmosphere where we collaborate through active listening, empathy, and genuine partnership. Depending on my clients’ interests, I incorporate various methods such as art, play, and mindfulness into my practice. I believe my strength as a clinician lies in relationship-building and meeting clients exactly where they are as we process thoughts, experiences, and emotions to improve well-being in their daily lives. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate and effective care.
