What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a proud wife, mother of 3 grown children, a grandmother, loving sister and true friend to many. I bring a plethora of life and professional experience to your table. I pride myself on being that therapist that does not fit the mold (so to speak). I will not ask you "how does that feel" over and over again, rather, "why did you feel that way and what can you do differently?" I like to be direct in a way that helps my clients face and/or confront their truth that can sometimes resemble giants, with unwavering support, empathy and encouragement.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities and techniques to help you arrive at the best outcomes possible; I will provide you a space to be your authentic and genuine self without ever feeling inadequate, as well as challenge you to develop introspection so you learn what is going on inside of you and contrast what is going on outside of you. Whether someone hurt you or you did the hurting, or life happened unexpectedly, finding answers are possible that can help you cope, alter and change negative behaviors that lead to positive results in your life. If I don't make you feel a bit uncomfortable, then I am not doing my job because change is not comfortable. It is time for you to hit the control, alt, delete button. I will do my best to always be that pillar of support and motivation to help you get to a better place over time.
