Psychotherapist
223 Commerce St, Ste D, Greenville, NC
I am a therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, and conflicts between personal values and external expectations. Many of my clients are people in helping roles, such as professionals, caregivers, and community leaders, who are used to supporting others but need space to reconnect with themselves. My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and trauma-informed care. I help clients move away from feeling stuck or overwhelmed and toward building lives that feel more intentional, sustainable, and aligned with what matters most to them. I also have experience supporting individuals working through religious trauma, identity transitions, and the pressure of high-responsibility environments. Therapy with me is collaborative and practical, we focus not only on insight, but on developing tools that make daily life more manageable and meaningful. Whether you're feeling exhausted, uncertain about your next direction, or simply ready for something to change, therapy can be a place to slow down, clarify what matters, and begin moving forward with purpose.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe my style as thoughtful, grounded, and collaborative. Therapy should feel like a structured conversation that helps you better understand yourself and make decisions that reflect your values. I tend to work especially well with people who feel responsible for others, hold themselves to high standards, or are trying to reconcile different parts of their identity or belief systems. Many clients come in feeling stuck between what they think they should do and what actually feels sustainable or authentic to them. In sessions, we focus on both insight and action. I help clients notice patterns that keep them feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, while also developing practical strategies they can use between sessions. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy, part of the work is discovering what matters most to you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we’ll spend time understanding what brought you to therapy and what you would like to be different in your life. I’ll ask questions about your current stressors, history, strengths, and goals so we can begin building a shared direction for our work together. Early sessions focus on identifying patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, burnout, or feeling stuck. From there, we develop practical tools to help you respond differently to difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients clarify their values and take steps toward meaningful change at a manageable pace. Sessions are conversational and collaborative. Some meetings focus on processing experiences, while others emphasize skill-building or decision-making support depending on what you need most at the time. Over time, therapy becomes a space where you can step back from daily pressure, strengthen self-understanding, and make choices that better reflect the life you want to build.
