Logan Williamson, LPC

Psychotherapist
5944 Luther Ln, Ste 470, Dallas, TX
I’m an expert in ADHD, autism, and AuDHD, and I’ve spent 20 years working with individuals and couples. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Lone Star Telehealth. Many of my clients come looking for a different kind of therapy: someone direct and kind who understands where they’re coming from and helps them build systems that work at home, in their relationships, and at work. You won’t need to explain the basics of ADHD or autism to me. You will find me curious about how it plays out in your life. Most of my clients are working professionals holding it together for 40 hours a week and then coming home to the rest: parenting, a mortgage, a partner who needs you too. In session, we’ll do the therapy work. We’ll also build practical strategies for the practical problems neurodivergence creates, including using AI tools to take over the tasks that cause you the most friction. ADHD and autism often come with anxiety and depression, so I treat those too. We’ll identify what’s driving them, try interventions, and review how it went when you put them into practice. My approach is integrative. Your physical health, brain health, and emotional health are connected, so we look at them together. The goal isn’t to make you more successful in one area. It’s a set of changes that work in unison, so you are happier internally and successful externally.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Sessions are by secure video, and you need to be in Texas when we meet. I do have office space in North Dallas for in person sessions. You do not have to arrive organized. Running late, tired, or carrying a list of fifteen things is a normal way to start, and I am used to working with all of it. Expect specifics. I will ask about your actual mornings, your inbox, your last disagreement, your last meeting that went sideways. The useful changes usually live in that level of detail, and it keeps us out of generalities you have already heard. Expect experiments. We try something, see what happened, and adjust. If a strategy does not work, that is information about the strategy, not a verdict on you. Move however helps you think. Pacing, fidgeting, and doodling are all fine here. If you come as a couple, you both get my full attention, and we work as a team on the pattern between you. My job is translation: helping each of you hear what the other meant, which is often different from what arrived.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session should feel familiar. It is an intake, so I am getting to know you, but I also weave in some emotional regulation skills and psychoeducation about neurodiversity. We set goals and go over the important things, like confidentiality in our relationship. After that, every session starts with the question I get the most pushback on: “How can I help?” It sounds simple, but it is worth thinking about during the week, and it might make you a little nervous five minutes before session because you know it is coming. It lets us skip the weather and the local sports teams doing badly and get right to it. Life is unpredictable, and what you planned to talk about may not include the big thing that happened this week. Starting from that one moment of being present, we find the threads of what you are struggling with week to week. Those threads refine our goals and the interventions that come from them, so you can see whether the work is moving things. Therapy feels different for each person, and even from session to session. My goal is a place where problems are okay to approach and comfortable to talk about. Everyone deserves a space to work through the things they privately believe are impossible to solve alone.

More information on payments and coverage

Lone Star Telehealth is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. That keeps the work focused on what you need rather than on what a plan will authorize. Fees: Individual session: $200 Couples session: $250 On request, I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer. Many plans with out-of-network benefits reimburse part of the cost, but reimbursement depends on your plan, so it is worth calling them before we begin to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits. Some clients also pay with an HSA or FSA card. Your plan administrator can confirm what qualifies.
