Hello, I'm Lori, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified teacher. My journey into social work began in high school when I realized the importance of compassionate and effective counseling for children and families. Growing up in a military family and serving as a military spouse and mother has deeply influenced my understanding of the unique challenges faced by military families. I graduated from Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts and initially worked as a middle and high school teacher. My passion for social work led me to pursue a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Since then, I've dedicated my career to helping individuals of all ages navigate life's challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in anxiety, depression, family relationships, trauma, military/veteran support, and intimate/romantic relationships. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, where I consider the full context of my clients' lives. I believe in the interconnectedness of mental health, nutrition, and wellness, and how these elements contribute to overall well-being. I'm also an ACE Interface Trainer, focusing on the neurobiology of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the impact of chronic and toxic stress on people's lives. This knowledge allows me to help clients develop effective coping skills and improve their quality of life. Throughout my career, I've worked with non-profit agencies, the public education system, and families from diverse backgrounds. I'm a lifelong learner, constantly engaging in studies to better understand the human condition and prepare for any situation. I pride myself on being a compassionate listener and building strong connections with my clients. Together, we can assess your situation and create a plan to help you achieve your goals. If you're ready to take the next step towards improving your well-being, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
