My focus I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families with older teens. I understand the military culture and work with active duty military and veterans, and their families. I work with clients with substance use issues and clients who have experienced trauma as children and adults. I have extensive experience working with clients who have depression and anxiety. My communication style I have a calm and caring demeanor. I often am told by clients that they feel safe, supported, and never judged. I know it's a big step reaching out for help, so my clients set the pace while I provide the expertise and knowledge to keep the process of healing moving forward. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist because I always wanted to do something in life that I found meaningful. Being intimately involved in the healing process of another person is as meaningful as it gets! It fits my personality, I'm a good listener and ask good questions. I thoroughly enjoy my work as a therapist and can't imagine doing anything else! My goals for you Goals are always set collaboratively. We can always add or eliminate goals, revise, and prioritize. Some goals are concrete and easily measured, and others goals are abstract. We'll evaluate progress from time to time and make sure we're on track.
