Dr. Lorraine Crockford, PhD, LMFT

Psychotherapist
1303 Jefferson St A, Ste 600, Napa, CA
My psychotherapy practice embraces those affected by trauma, anxiety, and dissociative-related issues, inclusive of addictive disorders and systems. My orientation includes a recognition of the somatic (embodied) experience in how anxiety and trauma manifest within the physical body. Because human beings respond in differentiated realms, I offer various modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) – Parts Work (Schwartz, R.), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (Beck, A.), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) (Resick, et al.). Somatic interventions include Progressive Relaxation, Tapping, EFT, and breathing techniques. If appropriate, I provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) (Shapiro, F., 1996). I support transformation through mutually agreed-upon goals within a humanistic approach to healing, offering a unique perspective on the multiple realities needed to thrive in your own lifeworld. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University – Los Angeles and a PhD from Fielding Graduate University. Sessions are for individual adults via video Telehealth in the state of California. Telehealth is an effective venue for receiving treatment. I also have the ability to provide in-person sessions in the Napa, CA area. I welcome the opportunity to work with you. Lorraine Crockford, PhD, LMFT
