You can expect to experience me as someone who is totally focused on your needs within a compassionate, genuine, mature, non-judgmental atmosphere. I will consistently engage and encourage you to do your best as we work together to develop your treatment priorities and identify the important issues that have brought to therapy at this time. I typically work with adults 18+ who experience a range of conditions including depression, anxiety, confusion, life stressors, childhood trauma, abuse, self esteem issues, relationship issues. It's my goal to always enter into the session with a smile and warm greeting- to set a positive and welcoming tone no matter what you are going through. I want you to know that I am here to support you. My interest in behavioral health care began over 30 years ago when I found myself suffering in silence with my own mental and behavioral health issues. Although counseling was unacceptable in my family and culture, I took the brave step to “try it out anyway”. My hope and expectation to discover the path toward healing was abruptly and painfully short-lived due to experiencing cultural insensitivity and judgement. I know what I experienced was not the ideal therapeutic relationship, so I decided to become a social worker so those I meet won’t experience what I did back then. I will consistently engage and encourage you as we work together to develop your treatment priorities and identify the important issues that brought you to therapy at this time. I will ask the important questions to get to know you better. In your first session, I will gather a bit of information to help me under
