I have a passion for mental health in BIPOC communities and am dedicated to providing you with a safe therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. What should a new client know about working with you?

When I work with you, we will start by identifying your vision. Who do you want to be on the other side of the challenges you're facing now? I will approach in a warm and inviting manner that allows you to feel supported during this vulnerable experience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with an intake which involves collecting demographic information, completing consent forms, and exploring historical information about your life. This allows me to get to know who you are over the course of 2-3 sessions. As we work together we will build rapport and healthy trust between each other. I don't like skipping over rapport building because it offers endless opportunities for you to experience healing moments in our therapeutic relationship. While I cannot tell you how many sessions or months before you will feel an improvement, what I can say is that most people feel a positive change within 6 months of attending sessions either weekly or biweekly.

More information on payments and coverage

I am accepting Cigna. Before we get started I'll confirm your insurance information and copay. Once our session is complete I will file a claim to inform your insurance company that you were seen. Your insurance will contact you and through their portal you can pay your copay. If for some reason your insurance denies the claim then I will do everything I can on my end to resolve this issue with insurance first. If insurance decides to not cover the cost of your sessions then will owe the remaining balance for your session fees. I will send a payment link through our EHR platform Simple Practice if this becomes necessary and I will always communicate with you as soon as I have new insights or updates.
