What should a new client know about working with you?

I've practiced psychotherapy in Canada for over 10 years and now I currently work in Oregon & Washington. I've worked in various clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, community health, as a crisis counselor, & as a college professor. As an integrative therapist, I draw from several therapeutic frameworks in order to meet your unique needs. My specialty is in trauma-informed care with advanced training in EMDR and IFS.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Working with me as a counselor means having a supportive and involved partner on your journey toward growth and change. I am a good listener who truly hears you, offering empathy and understanding without judgment. My approach is strength-based, helping you recognize and build on your inner resources. While learning about how to improve is important, I understand that actually making changes takes time and courage. I'm here with you through that process—step by step—offering encouragement, insight, and support as you gradually begin to do things differently. You're not alone in this—I’m with you every step of the way. If it seems like we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free exploratory chat to find out how I work, how I may be able to help, and to answer any questions you may have. I am currently offering in person and telehealth sessions. I also offer limited evening and weekend availabilities.
