Getting to know Lucas Dieckhaus

Hi, I'm Lucas. I help survivors overcome past trauma to begin their healing journey. After earning my Master’s in Counseling from Webster University, I started my career in the nonprofit mental health sector. It was there that I realized we often treated the wrong issues. Many clients struggled with trauma, but our focus was on substance use, depression, and anxiety, leading to stagnation because the real issues weren't addressed. This realization led me to dedicate my career to becoming well-versed in trauma and its treatment. I am trained to help survivors using Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Seeking Safety. These evidence-based practices are designed to alleviate the symptoms of trauma effectively. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from children as young as six to individuals well into their retirement years. My experience spans various settings, from bustling cities to small communities with only a few hundred people. These opportunities have broadened my worldview and provided invaluable insights into the human experience.
