Getting to know Lucretia Reed

Hi, my name is Lucretia Reed, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas (License #79891). My counseling technique is unique in nature. I am genuine, supportive, and honest while also holding my clients accountable for the hard work often required in the counseling process. The cornerstone of my approach is a great rapport fostered by a non-judgmental listening ear. Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Systems, and Person-Centered Therapy are just a few of the therapeutic approaches I use to help meet the needs of my clients. I have worked in the field of counseling for over 17 years. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University. I have provided services as a school counselor, in outpatient mental health settings, and through telehealth counseling. I have a passion for helping anyone in need. My personality and determination are often reflected in the counseling relationship to help my clients reach their goals. My experience includes working with adolescents, young adults, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I have worked with clients in the foster care system, adults in transitional homes, at-risk youth, domestic violence victims, and families in crisis. The decision to seek help is not easy, but when you are ready, I am here to support you.

This provider changed my appointment immediately after scheduling. I received an email I must complete a packet before my appointment. I did that. A few hours before the appointment she asked me to complete another form. I was driving across the state and unable to do so. She advised she was sick and wasn’t able to send it before. Why not send it with the initial paper work. Mental health is important and when your future provider doesn’t have the same views it’s a no win. Hopefully she gets better with her availability and communication. It’s a no for me
