Hi, I am Lucy Henry, a Professional Counselor in Greenville, SC. I seek to work with clients who are looking to grow and heal. I work best with people who are willing to look at their pain and grow. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit, but we have to uncover some of our layers to become our true selves. My approach I use a combination of positive psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy to facilitate growth and healing in individuals. I work best with adults and older adolescents. My focus I work best with adults, couples, and adolescents who are seeking to take responsibility and work to reach their full potential. I work best with those who are struggling with mood disorders, grief and loss, as well as those who are seeking to gain life skills to better cope with life's difficulties. My communication style I seek to create a safe space where individuals feel at peace. I am easygoing but not afraid to hold clients accountable for their growth. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist after realizing I have a passion for helping others find a safe place to be vulnerable and look at themselves. I have found through the years that it is by shedding tears that we find growth. My practice name, DancingWater Counseling, is all about learning to dance with ourselves in the midst of pain. My goals for you I expect clients to set their own goals, but I am willing to guide them to look at manageable goals and celebrate the wins.
