Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Lucy! Welcome to my practice. Life can be difficult and full of disappointments, but it can also be satisfying and full of joy. Working together, we will build a therapeutic relationship that provides a safe place to share, grow, and build trusting relationships in your life. Successful treatment requires a commitment to the process, insight, and the ability to embrace change and improve behavior. The rewards will be worth your investment. As your counselor, I will offer support and encouragement in reaching your personal life goals to provide feedback when needed, and assist you in adjusting your goals as we work together towards you reaching your full potential. My approach I use a combination of talk therapy, also known as Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Establishing trust through the development of unconditional positive regard in a non-judgmental environment. My focus I work with adults 18+ who are seeking help with relationship issues, poor coping skills, anxiety, emotional regulation, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and past trauma. As well as couples dealing with infidelity, struggling with commitment, or couples who are looking to add the spark back into their relationship. My communication style Open, honest communication is a best practice in a counseling setting. However, for some people, it takes time to open up and trust the process, so patience is definitely a virtue when starting a counseling relationship. My journey to mental healthcare My journey into becoming a mental health counselor began with my fascination with human behavior. What makes people do the things they do and make the decisions they make? I some ways, we are all the same, but in other ways, we are very different. I want to understand and celebrate these differences. I am naturally a giver and a good listener, two helpful characteristics that have served me well.
