Getting to know Lucy Li

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* I encourage clients to explore their own identities and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. With this insight, clients who are struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, or life transitions will gain confidence and control to change their lives. I gravitate towards strategies that focus on how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and the impact of societal expectations and culture on an individual's well-being. The client will be encouraged to identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to their emotional distress or unhealthy behaviors. Our sessions are introspective and goal-oriented, with a supportive, empowering atmosphere where you feel safe to share and grow. My explorative style extends beyond therapy-I love traveling, trying new foods, and playing video games with family and friends. Managing our mental health can be overwhelming and confusing but I am committed to providing you with the support and guidance you need. Through collaboration and understanding, we can accomplish goals and live a more fulfilling life! Said one of Lucy's patients: “Lucy is both empathic and competent.” Lucy Li has a Master’s in Counseling from Lehigh University. Lucy is a Counselor in Training, CIT at Cerebral. Supervised by David Kesselman, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW 113363.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy serving clients in their early teens to early adulthood who are struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, or life transitions. They may face challenges in school or work or lack a direction or purpose in their career. My ideal client would like more guidance in adapting to their environment and assistance in improving their relationships with their family and friends. They would be motivated to work towards their goals and play an active part in their treatment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I aim to be the kind of therapist I would want by my side—someone empathetic, caring, respectful, and truly non-judgmental. In our work together, you can expect me to hold space for you to explore openly, but I’ll also gently challenge you to push beyond comfort zones when it’s needed for growth. Therapy with me is a collaborative journey; it’s about you stepping into a more empowered, insightful version of yourself, and I’m here to support every step. I believe that real change comes from dedication and effort, so I’ll encourage you to take an active role in our sessions, working alongside me to improve your mental health. This journey is yours, but you won’t be taking it alone—I’m here to support, guide, and challenge you toward meaningful change.
