What should a new client know about working with you?

I focus on working with individual adults that are 24 years old or older. I primarily work with clients who have experienced trauma, addiction, or have anxiety and depression problems. I do not work in Spanish nor do I work with children, or couples.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session I'll start with a brief introduction, I'll verify some information, then I'll have you discuss current and ongoing concerns in your life. I'll make sure I have an understanding of what is going on, I will develop a treatment plan, and then we will complete an assessment together. Finally I will set up expectations about therapy, therapeutic boundaries, I'll review policies and procedures, payment, and we will discuss weekly scheduled session times. After your initial assessment session, we will begin with weekly individual sessions. These session will be unstructured and focused on developing resources, strengths, and resilience, and then gradually focusing on deeper work untangling how your past is affecting you in the present. Our depth work would continue until we've achieved our goals together.
