Psychotherapist

You've done everything right. The career, the milestones, the life that looks successful from the outside, and yet something beneath the surface feels unresolved. A persistent undercurrent of stress, disconnection, or emptiness that willpower alone hasn't been able to fix. That's where I come in. I'm Dr. Lydia Luna, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 19 years of clinical experience. I work with high-achieving individuals who are ready to move beyond managing their symptoms and into genuine, lasting transformation. My practice integrates the most effective tools in modern psychology with cutting-edge modalities: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, somatic healing, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. I also specialize in supporting neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families. This isn't traditional talk therapy. It's a deeply personalized, clinically rigorous, and whole-person approach to healing; one that gets to the root of what's holding you back and helps you rebuild from there. For those ready for an immersive experience, I also offer exclusive wellness retreats and curated sessions through The Moon Collective Sanctuary, a healing space I founded to support profound reflection and renewal. If you're serious about your wellbeing and ready to invest in your inner life with the same intention you bring to everything else, I'd be honored to work with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is different from what you may have experienced in therapy before; and that difference is intentional. First, expect to be truly seen. I take time to understand your history, your goals, and what hasn't worked in the past. The insights you arrive with are just as important as the ones we uncover together. Second, expect depth. I don't believe in surface-level coping strategies for deep-rooted pain. My work draws on psychodynamic principles (including dream exploration) to help you understand the unconscious patterns driving your behavior, somatic techniques to release what the body is holding, nervous system regulation, and evidence-based methods to create concrete change in your daily life. Third, expect a collaborative relationship built on trust. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders who are used to performing, not being vulnerable. I create an environment where both are possible. There is no judgment, only skillful, compassionate guidance. Finally, know that transformation takes commitment. My approach is comprehensive and tailored specifically to you. The session fee reflects the specialized nature of this work and the sustained attention each client receives. Many clients find this investment pays dividends across every area of their life —relationships, performance, increased awareness, and improved sense of self. If you've been waiting for the "right time" to prioritize your mental health, this is it.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every client's journey is unique, but my process follows a thoughtful structure designed to move you from insight to lasting, embodied change. We begin with a comprehensive intake session - a focused, unhurried conversation where I listen carefully to understand your history, your current challenges, and what you most want your life to feel like. This shapes everything that follows. From there, I build a personalized treatment plan rooted in an integrative and holistic philosophy. Rather than applying a single therapeutic lens, I draw from a carefully selected range of evidence-based and somatic modalities — combining them in a way that honors your mind, body, and lived experience as inseparable. For many clients, this means weaving together psychodynamic exploration (uncovering the deeper roots of patterns and pain), cognitive behavioral tools (shifting the thoughts and behaviors that keep you stuck), and somatic practices (reconnecting with your body's innate capacity for regulation and healing). True healing, in my view, is never purely cognitive, it's physiological, relational, and for those open to it, an opportunity to expand one's awareness and relationship with oneself at a deeper level. I work with the whole person, not just a diagnosis or a presenting symptom, and that distinction is at the heart of everything I do. For clients who are candidates and open to it, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy can serve as a powerful catalyst creating a window of neurological openness that accelerates the therapeutic process and allows for breakthroughs that can take years to reach through talk therapy alone. Throughout our work together, I remain attentive and adaptive. If something isn't working, we recalibrate. You'll always feel the human care at the center of this practice. For those seeking a more immersive experience, I also offer extended and single-day retreat-based sessions through The Moon Collective Sanctuary. A space for deep and soulful inner work.
