Lydia Schatzel, LCSW

Lydia Schatzel, LCSW

Psychotherapist
IL
I am a Dually-Licensed Clinical Therapist and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 10 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, specializing in children and families along with addiction treatment. I am a recipient of the Class Act Award from University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago and the Chapter of Merit Award from the American Case Management Association. I combine the modalities of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, harm reduction, behavioral analysis/activation, mindfulness and insight awareness with a solution-focused approach that is client centered. A therapist's number one goal is to become obsolete in our clients life, meaning I equip you with tools and knowledge to manage day to day life with whatever storm you are currently facing. Healthcare today is often about the quick fix, that is not my game. I want to equip you for the highest possibility for success while being as efficient as possible doing so. Excited to start the work with you!
