“Lynnea is the best therapist I’ve ever had. She is so helpful and really personally tailored our appointments. She was always engaged whether it was a heavy appointment or a maintenance/check in when life was smoother for me. She felt like such a rock through my emotional journey and I always looked forward to talking through life with her. Sometimes she would give me articles and podcasts to listen to better understand practices and to get me through hard weeks in the interim of our appointments. She’s a therapist to laugh with and cry with, she’s simply the best!”

Getting to know Lynnea Molina

For over a decade, I dedicated my career to adolescent mental health, serving as a Wellness Coordinator and School Social Worker. During this time, I worked closely with teens, schools, and families, helping young people navigate the challenges of identity, relationships, and mental well-being. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, which provided a strong foundation for my clinical work. In 2019, I opened my private practice, shifting my focus to couples therapy, where I found a deep passion for helping partners build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. Now, as the Founder of Mindfully Well Therapy, my practice brings together both of these specialties-adolescent mental health and couples, sex, and intimacy counseling. Whether supporting teens through life's challenges or helping couples strengthen their connection, my work is deeply relational. I believe in the power of human connection, creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported in their journey toward healing and growth. Supporting people's mental health is more than my profession-it's a true joy. At Mindfully Well Therapy, we're committed to offering compassionate, evidence-based care that honors the unique experiences of every client we serve.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is deeply influenced by my East Coast, mixed-race roots, which shape the way I show up—direct, warm, and deeply invested in creating real connection. I integrate skills from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, trauma-informed care, and affirming care to create a therapy experience that is both structured and deeply personal. At the heart of my work is the relationship itself—I prioritize building a safe, protected space where couples can be vulnerable, explore difficult topics, and begin to heal with trust and openness. I strive to strike the perfect balance between realness, compassion, and connection, while also bringing honesty, challenge, and gentle confrontation when necessary. Therapy with me isn’t just about talking through problems—it’s about transforming the way partners experience each other, so they can move forward with greater intimacy, understanding, and security.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with building a strong foundation. In our first handful of sessions, the focus is on creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and safe—a place where you can communicate openly and trust that your needs matter. We’ll also use this time to get really clear on what you want from therapy and co-create a North Star to guide our work. Once we have a clear direction, we’ll outline how we’ll get there, discussing the best approaches and strategies tailored to you. From there, I’ll introduce evidence-based tools and practical strategies while weaving in educational moments to help deepen your understanding. Of course, therapy isn’t just about learning—it’s also a space to vent, process, and feel the feels without judgment. As your therapist, I’ll help us stay on track so we’re always walking toward your goals while making room for life’s ups and downs. We’ll balance science-backed approaches with real human connection, ensuring that growth happens in a way that feels authentic, supportive, and meaningful to you.
