Getting to know Lynzie Johnson

I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) who works with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, thoughts of self-harm or suicide, and who are healing from trauma. I studied counseling psychology at Evangel University and in my undergraduate work have a minor in Biblical Studies.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe everyone has a story, and sometimes we all need a safe space to pause, reflect, and find new ways forward. My goal is to work together toward healing, growth, and hope. My approach to therapy is based on using evidence-based treatment approaches (DBT, TF-CBT, ACT) with Christian faith and spirituality as a foundation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we'll go through a therapy intake. I'll ask questions to get to know you and learn about your goals for therapy. We will discuss a plan for therapy moving forward.
