Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Mackenzie. Therapy can be so stigmatized in society, and I know what it is like to not know where to begin in the process of finding help, or rather, what you even want help with. As a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Master’s degree, I have been seeing clients for 9 years. Over time, I have developed a passion for working with girls and women aged 13-60, members of the LGBTQ+ community, couples, and families. My therapeutic background is in trauma and sexual abuse, but I have continued to evolve my work to meet the diverse needs of my clients. I started working exclusively in private practice in March of 2020, right when the world shut down due to COVID-19. This period has been a journey, helping me to understand the struggles both personally and professionally over the past year and a half. I am trained in EMDR, DBT, TF-CBT, CBT, and I am a TBRI Practitioner. I really enjoy getting to know clients and figuring out what modalities will work best for us on this journey. You are unique, and your therapy should be specific to you. I love what I do. I think that therapy can be intimidating or frustrating, but it doesn't have to be. It might sting a little bit, but when you are able to find a clinician that you mesh with, it is less scary. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief, life transitions, or any other challenges, I am here to help. If you're ready to take the next step, I would be honored to support you on your journey to healing and growth. Let's work together to find the path that feels right for you.
