Madeline Minor, LMFT Associate

Madeline Minor, LMFT Associate

Psychotherapist
1525 Lakeville Dr, Ste 237, Kingwood, TX
Madeline Minor is supervised by Jennifer Renae Reeves. Occasionally, we face challenges in life that feel too overwhelming to handle alone. Seeking therapy or asking for help can sometimes feel intimidating. Influences from the media often give us preconceived ideas about what therapy should look like. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate, I believe in being genuine with my clients and truly getting to know who they are as individuals. Each session is tailored to you and your unique needs. I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Sam Houston State University. I have had the privilege of working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, marital or family concerns, and other obstacles. Whatever is holding you back from living your best life, I believe we can work together to overcome it. I look forward to meeting with you soon!

Getting to know Madeline Minor

Madeline Minor is supervised by Jennifer Renae Reeves. Occasionally, we face challenges in life that feel too overwhelming to handle alone. What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that the client is the pilot, but sometimes we need a co-pilot to help us navigate through certain challenges. Each session will be curated to the client's unique needs. I take an eclectic approach, which means that I use different therapeutic modalities in sessions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). A healthy therapeutic relationship is one where there is trust between the client and the therapist and we will work on building that trusting relationship from our first session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is the intake session where I get to learn more about you (who you are as a person, what led you to therapy, etc.). The intake session provides me with the chance for us to get to know each other better. The first few sessions are still focused on getting to know my client, but we will delve more into what led you to seek therapy and how we can work together to help you. Our sessions will be a space where you can learn coping skills, uncover new things about yourself, and opportunities to learn new ways of being.
