Madelyn Rodriguez, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
With over 13 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and compassion to my practice. I work with individuals and couples facing a wide variety of challenges, helping them navigate life transitions, emotional struggles, and personal growth. As a proud veteran, I have a unique understanding of the experiences, resilience, and obstacles that military members, veterans, and their families encounter. This personal experience enables me to offer specialized care for those dealing with trauma, reintegration issues, and the complex emotional landscape of military life. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida, which has provided me with a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, insomnia, and relationship issues. I have significant experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, specializing in helping clients manage the impacts of trauma, addictive behaviors, and chronic insomnia. I also provide practical tools for managing stress and emotions, helping individuals develop healthier coping strategies and build emotional resilience. I am deeply committed to providing personalized care, combining evidence-based therapies with a warm, client-centered approach. In addition to CBT and trauma work, I am skilled in helping clients work through addictions, whether to substances or behavioral patterns, and I offer mindfulness-based practices that foster greater self-awareness and emotional regulation. For those struggling with insomnia, I provide targeted interventions to improve sleep hygiene and address the underlying emotional or psychological factors contributing to sleep disturbances.

What should a new client know about working with you?

On a personal note, I am a proud mother of two sons and share my home with three dogs, all of whom bring joy and balance to my life. I am married to a police officer, and our family life is centered around support, care, and mutual understanding. When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and participating in outdoor activities that keep me grounded. As a person who values self-care and personal growth, I strive to integrate these principles into my professional life as well.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Being fully bilingual, I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. I understand the importance of cultural sensitivity, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for Spanish-speaking clients. Whether you are facing personal or relationship challenges, battling insomnia, or navigating the difficult terrain of trauma and addiction recovery, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way. My passion for helping others stems from my own journey of self-discovery, and I am committed to supporting you as you embark on your path to healing and growth. Together, we will work to create a deeper understanding of yourself and develop the emotional tools needed for lasting change. During our initial sessions we will work on building trust and creating an environment that leads to self actualization. I will be with you every step of the way, providing the tools and support you need to make meaningful progress and feel safe expressing yourself throughout our sessions. If you’re ready to start your healing journey, I invite you to reach out. Let’s work together to create a path forward filled with hope, growth, and healing.
