Getting to know Madison Bowman

Accepting New Clients! Family & Teen Therapist - Bridging the Gap Between Teens & Their Families. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, or family conflict, I provide a safe and validating space where teens can be themselves—fully and without fear.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have 9+ years of experience specializing in helping individuals, families and teenagers navigate life’s challenges with confidence and connection. With a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family Centered Treatment (FCT), I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is deeply person-centered. I believe every person deserves to be heard, validated, and empowered, and I create a space where they can express themselves without fear of judgment. I also know that parenting a teenager can be hard. If you feel like you’re constantly walking on eggshells or struggling to connect, you’re not alone. Let’s talk!

More information on payments and coverage

For out of pocket payments, once we agree on a set rate prior to beginning our sessions, the billing information you put on file will be charged accordingly. My completion of clinical documentation will initiate the charge. I typically complete these notes with a 24 hour period after each session ends. If you will be paying with insurance, please see the billing steps below.   Counseling Professionals Billing Steps: 1. You upload insurance to TherapyNotes 2. Our billing department contacts your insurance 3. Insurance confirms coverage (sets co - pay and deductible rate) 4. You have a session with me 5. Billing submits a claim for this session to insurance 6. We wait... 7. Insurance accepts or denies the claim 8. We collect payment from insurance then from you (if there is a co - pay or deductible) 9. Repeat steps 4-8 for each future session    What is not Covered by Insurance: ·      No-Show and late cancelations are not covered by insurance ·      Consistency helps therapy outcomes ·      No shows are not always charged, but regular no-shows may result in termination or transfer of care as it undermines treatment outcomes and therapist scheduling and income. ·      This policy helps honor the provider’s time and allows other clients access to services ·      Contact outside of sessions ·      Court testimony or support letters ·      Certain testing or evaluations

I felt like there was a lapse in communication with my appointment. My appointment had been confirmed and I showed up early to fill out any paperwork. There is no receptionist rather a lobby that leads to multiple therapist doors. I was unsure where to go and did not want to knock out of respect for other patients. I waited over an hour in the office without seeing or hearing from Madison. I had called the office twice and sent an email asking about the appointment and if I would still be seen. I never received a response to my calls or email. I spent two hours driving in total to the appointment and was ready to open up to a therapist and begin to work though some major challenges in my life. This experience has really of set me and makes me further feel unvalidated.
