What should a new client know about working with you?

I consider myself a relational therapist first. I believe that meaningful therapeutic work begins with a strong foundation of trust, and I recognize that opening up to someone new can feel vulnerable. Because of this, I focus on creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves and sharing at their own pace. Once that foundation is established, I take a collaborative approach to therapy. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, which allows me to tailor treatment to each client's unique goals and needs. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing while building practical skills and tools to help you move forward with greater confidence and self-understanding. When working with children, I often incorporate play therapy techniques alongside CBT and Person-Centered approaches. Play can be a child's natural language, and these techniques help me connect with them at their developmental level

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and centered around creating a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and supported. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is very important to me, and I strive to approach each client with empathy, curiosity, and understanding. I know that life's challenges can be difficult, unexpected, and sometimes isolating. Rather than seeing myself as someone who has all the answers, I view therapy as a partnership. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, explore your thoughts and emotions, and work toward meaningful change. I believe everyone moves at their own pace, so I aim to meet you where you are and tailor our work to your unique needs and goals. Together, we'll identify strengths, develop coping skills, and build tools that can help you feel more confident and empowered both in and outside of therapy.
