Getting to know Madison Habet

Hi, and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Reaching out for therapy can be a big step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. My hope is that you feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard from our very first conversation. Together, we'll explore what's bringing you to therapy, make sense of the challenges you're experiencing, and find an approach that fits your unique needs. My role is to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you can build insight, develop practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Trinity University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary’s University, both in San Antonio. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have experience supporting children, teens, adults, and couples through life's challenges, with specialized training in grief and trauma. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and have completed advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents (TGCTA). I am also currently pursuing certification in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders to further support individuals throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to parenthood.

Madison is so lovely! She is a great listener. She gives great feedback and is very encouraging. Very glad I found her!
It was a very nice first session. She took her time and really got to know what is going on with me.
First time ever having a therapist and she made me feel very welcome and was very trust worthy and made me feel like I could tell her anything and offered great advice.
She has always been nothing but understanding and kind, while being able to point out detrimental thinking patterns in a constructive way. She’s amazing at uplifting and offering both words of wisdom and reassurance whenever possible. She asks great leading questions and overall makes therapy something to look forward to, whereas before I used to approach it with fear and anxiety.
Madison has been amazing for my son. She is preceptive and working to help him with his struggles. She is connecting with him and helping him be the best he can be!
