Getting to know Madison Velasquez-Walsh-Smith

Therapy looks different for everyone, and sometimes it can be really hard to reach out for help. It takes immense strength to ask for help and start your therapy journey. My goal is to create a safe space to embrace YOU—your stories, your struggles, your goals—and help you grow on your path to your best self. I connect very well with young adults navigating life transitions and exploring self-identity, as well as couples developing their relationships. I also support those with trauma in working through relational issues that may stem from unresolved trauma through couples counseling. As a member of the BIPOC community, I deeply value my work with BIPOC-identified women, focusing on women’s issues and empowerment. Additionally, I provide LGBT+ informed and affirmative care, helping clients address anxiety and work toward improved daily functioning. Top Challenges I Work Best With: - Women’s Issues - BIPOC Issues & Biracial/Multicultural Couples - PTSD & Trauma Recovery - LGBT+ Care
