What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I don't believe people are broken or need to be "fixed." Instead, I see therapy as a space to slow down, better understand yourself and your relationships, and discover new ways of moving forward. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to bring curiosity, clinical knowledge, and practical tools while honoring that you are the expert on your own life. Whether we're working individually, as a couple, or as a family, my focus is on creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, uncover the emotions and needs beneath them, and build the skills and confidence to create meaningful, lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are about getting to know you! Your story, your strengths, what has shaped you, and what brings you to therapy. Together, we'll identify your goals and create a plan that honors your unique needs, preferences, experiences, culture, and identities. Therapy is a space where you get to show up as your whole self. My hope is to create a welcoming environment where you feel seen, understood, and supported; not just the parts of yourself that feel easy to share, but all of you. This is your space to prioritize your experiences, explore what matters most to you, and take steps toward the life and relationships you want to create. As therapy progresses, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building on the strengths you already have. Depending on your goals, we may focus on understanding and processing emotions, improving communication and relationships, developing healthier coping skills, processing past experiences, or reconnecting with your values and the life you want to create. Throughout the process, we'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our approach as your needs evolve.
