Getting to know Mailyn Paredes

My name is Mailyn Paredes. I am really excited to meet you. As we begin this therapeutic relationship, we are going to be learning a lot about each other. I am devoted to helping my clients become more Emotional Communicators in their lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist. I practice virtually in the state of Florida. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities including (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Gottman-Method, Attachment-Based Therapy, Couple's Counseling, Family Counseling, Gestalt, Positive Psychology, Empowerment Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Grief Counseling, Motivational-Interviewing, Mindfulness Meditation, Reality-Orientation Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy amongst others. My ideal Client is someone who sees therapy as a vehicle of change, in order to meet a better version of themselves. Whether that person is an individual, family, or couple, I am thankful of THEM for choosing ME. As YOU are learning to deposit some trust in a perfect stranger (I.e. ME), YOU and I will begin to explore skills and techniques that will result in improved performance in crucial areas of YOUR life. I work with people that experience an array of issues including (but not limited to) ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Social Phobia, Couple's Disconnect/Conflict, Family Issues, LGBTQI, Gender Dysphoria, Christian Counseling, Women's Issues, Relationship Struggles and More. Yes, I am also familiar with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and others.
