Malissa Dieterle, LCPC

Psychotherapist
IL
Hello! Lisa, here. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have over 20 years of experience as a trusted and supportive listener for adult clients navigating life's many challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), I provide a calming, nonjudgemental space where you can feel seen, supported and empowered on your path. The theories I draw from that shape my eclectic style in the office include psychodynamic, humanistic/existential and cognitive-behavioral schools of thought; and my approach is collaborative, easy going, and direct. With roots in mindfulness, I believe increasing our self-awareness is a fundamental key to the growth and learning we do as human beings. In my practice, I have seen and have expertise treating anxiety and depression; esteem and identity issues; ADHD, bipolar, substance use to name a few, and often see themes from clients who are seeking to grow and develop, or are experiencing difficult life transitions. My work history highlights chapters in sales, marketing and advertising; non-profit program management and consulting; and finally, the Federal government, managing grantee relationships. I have been a counselor, a coach and a facilitator, across all of these chapters, helping individuals and organizations navigate change, build stronger communication, and improve their overall sense of well-being. Ultimately, I believe healing happens in connection -- connection with ourselves and with others. Whether you are seeking personal growth, professional support or a safe space to land, I am here to accompany you on your path.
