Getting to know Manda Cook

I'm Manda, and I'm so glad you're here. Taking that first step to seek out help can be daunting, but you have done it! And that is no small thing. Many things in life can keep us from experiencing the health and vitality we desire. These can include current circumstances, past traumas, relationship issues, family dynamics, and any number of other reasons. Sometimes, we experience symptoms we don't understand for reasons we cannot figure out. And while these struggles can be unpleasant (and even sometimes debilitating), they are treatable and you can feel better. I absolutely believe this to be true for every person -- otherwise, I wouldn't be in this profession. I graduated with my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling in 2011 from Denver Seminary. Although I completed my training at a religious institution, I hold in the highest regard the beliefs of all people from atheism to agnosticism to orthodoxy. We all must find our path in life, and my work is to support you in your journey -- no matter what path you are walking along. I am LGBTQ-supportive and believe that every person has the right to be exactly who they are. I am licensed in the state of Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I also have advanced training in trauma and anxiety/PTSD, narcissistic abuse, and ADHD. My approach to therapy is based on the belief that you are the expert on yourself, whether you know it or not! I will work with you to uncover the talents and strengths that are unique to you at the same time that we look at the unhelpful thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs that are holding you back from living your best life. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, parenting issues, and those who have been or are justice involved.
