Mandy Lipka, LMHC

Mandy Lipka, LMHC

Psychotherapist
MA
As a licensed clinician, I primarily work with adults, couples, new parents, and families. I am a depth-oriented psychotherapist — I believe that the mind, body, and spirit are seeking wholeness rather than perfection. I work from a place of understanding that trauma is what happens inside of us in response to an external event and that healing from this pain — whether it manifests as anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, life phase challenges, or relational issues — is an enriching process that you do not need to face alone. I am here to help you identify clues, symptoms, and patterns in your life that are guiding you toward wholeness. My approach is typically psychodynamic in which I aim to help you uncover the roots of your emotional suffering. I have training in addressing the unconscious (also known as our shadow), dreamwork, somatic therapy, perinatal therapy, mindfulness, and Brainspotting. Jungian psychoanalyst and American writer, Clarissa Pinkola Estés, PhD., summarizes the process of psychotherapy best. She writes, “To be strong … means meeting one’s own luminosity without fleeing, actively living with the wild nature in one’s own way. It means to be able to learn, to be able to stand what we know. It means to stand and live.”
