Manuel believes that the therapeutic relationship plays a central role in healing, and the sessions he conducts focus on empathy, kindness and attentive listening centering on people’s stories and providing an environment for individuals to feel safe. Manuel believes that each person is a valuable human being that deserves to be treated with kindness; this includes self-kindness. He hopes to be the person to guide others in their journey to heal.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Manuel focuses on client’s stories and likes to provide a safe and secure environment for clients to express their emotions, thoughts and needs. Through empathy, active listening and reflection, Manuel makes sessions a comfortable place for clients to communicate what is in their hearts and minds. Manuel’s goal is for clients to feel comfortable and confident when they are expressing what is happening in client’s lives and to feel that someone is listening attentively to them.
