Psychotherapist
MA
I’m a licensed therapist specializing in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders using evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). For over a decade, I’ve helped individuals struggling with intrusive thoughts, compulsions, panic, social anxiety, perfectionism, and uncertainty learn how to break free from anxiety cycles and reclaim their lives. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, reassurance seeking, or avoidance that temporarily reduce anxiety but keep the fear going long-term. In our work together, we focus on helping you build the skills and confidence to face anxiety in new ways so it loses its power over time. My style is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I aim to create a space where you feel understood while also helping you make meaningful progress toward the life you want to live. Whether you’re navigating OCD, chronic worry, or anxiety that’s interfering with work, relationships, or daily life, therapy can help you move forward.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they appreciate that therapy with me feels both supportive and structured. I take time to understand your experiences, but we also focus on practical strategies that help you make real progress between sessions. My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments, particularly Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is considered the gold-standard treatment for OCD and highly effective for many anxiety disorders. Rather than trying to eliminate anxiety entirely, we work on changing your relationship with it so it no longer controls your decisions. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Many people begin treatment feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you build skills, confidence, and flexibility over time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first few sessions, we focus on getting a clear understanding of your concerns, symptoms, and goals. We’ll explore the patterns that keep anxiety or OCD going and begin identifying areas where you’d like to see change. Once we have that foundation, we’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan. For many clients, this includes developing a gradual exposure plan (ERP) designed to help you face fears in manageable steps while learning how to respond differently to anxiety. Sessions often include a mix of discussion, skill-building, and planning exposures or behavioral experiments you can practice between sessions. Over time, these exercises help reduce avoidance, build tolerance for uncertainty, and allow you to engage more fully in the things that matter to you. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you develop tools you can continue using long after therapy ends.
