Hello. My name is Marc Funk. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with Mental Health designation (LADC-MH). I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University. As a licensed counselor, I offer integrated counseling services using an eclectic approach to help you foster hope and recovery. I provide individual and couples therapy for adult clients with mental health and substance abuse challenges. I am dedicated to serving your needs in the most direct and effective manner possible. My approach My practice is based on three key principles: Acceptance, Compassion, and Trust. These principles are the cornerstone of assisting you on your journey. I treat anxiety, depression, addictions, and relationship concerns using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques. I am well versed in 12-Step Programs and SMART Recovery. My focus My primary focus is treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictions. I take a holistic approach, emphasizing spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical balance and healing from substance abuse, mental health, and trauma-related concerns. I do NOT treat anyone under 18 years of age. My communication style I am focused solely on you and your needs. I care about your progress and aim to make you feel comfortable and safe while providing a neutral space to explore your hopes for your future. My journey to mental healthcare I have been in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction since 1988. I began working as a tech at the recovery center where I got sober. Over the years, I have worked in various inpatient facilities but found my passion for helping people after completing my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and realizing I was unfulfilled in that field.
