Psychotherapist
7520 NW 5th St, Ste 200, Plantation, FL
Hi I’m Marcela. Do you find yourself overthinking everything, struggling to trust people, or feeling disconnected from yourself—even when you know you want something different? You may be experiencing the lasting effects of complex trauma or attachment wounds. I help adolescents and adults who are tired of repeating the same relationship patterns, people-pleasing, self-doubt, anxiety, and emotional cycles understand where these patterns come from and begin creating something different. As an EMDR-trained therapist specializing in complex trauma and attachment, I provide a safe, compassionate space to process experiences that may still be impacting how you feel, think, and relate to yourself and others. Together, we’ll work toward more than simply managing symptoms. We’ll work toward healing the underlying wounds, strengthening your sense of self, building healthier relationships, and helping you feel safer in your own life. You don’t have to keep wondering, “Why am I like this?” There is a reason your mind and body learned these patterns—and with the right support, those patterns can change

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and judgment-free. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I’ll meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and work at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. My goal is to help you understand the patterns that may be connected to trauma and attachment while building greater self-trust, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of safety within yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We’ll begin by exploring what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and goals. From there, we’ll identify patterns and underlying experiences that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing today. When appropriate, I may incorporate EMDR, attachment-based therapy, and trauma-focused approaches to help you process experiences and develop healthier patterns. Throughout therapy, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work based on your needs and goals.
