UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I completed my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from St. Edward’s University in 2005, after earning my Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Since then, I have specialized in working with adults and teens addressing ADHD, PTSD, OCD, Borderline and Narcissistic Personality Disorders, and Eating Disorders. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to build emotional regulation skills and identify negative core beliefs. Starting therapy can be intimidating—especially for first-timers! My view is that therapy should not be clinical or cold; I believe in a warm and laid-back approach. My goal and passion is working with clients to recognize unproductive patterns, “neutralize the negative” memories, address emotional distress, and most importantly, build self-acceptance.
