Hello, I'm Marcia, and I'm so glad you're here. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 21 years of experience, I've had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and groups in various settings, from private practice to facility-based treatment programs. My journey in mental health began with supporting families impacted by drug addiction through in-home counseling sessions and supervising a suicide crisis call center. This early experience shaped my understanding of the profound impact of mental health challenges on individuals and their loved ones. I hold a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, which I earned in 1993, and while I was pursuing my doctorate, life took an unexpected turn when my father was diagnosed with cancer. Balancing my responsibilities as a daughter, mother, and professional, I continued to serve my community and raise my three boys. Throughout my career, I've specialized in addressing anxiety, depression, intimate and romantic relationships, multicultural and diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, PTSD, sex and intimacy issues, stress, and trauma. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a commitment to helping you navigate life's challenges. Whether you're dealing with unresolved grief, struggling with self-worth, or facing difficulties in your relationships, I'm here to support you. In my work with clients, I focus on creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
