Getting to know Marcia Winter

Hello, I'm Marcia. Have you ever felt stuck or unmotivated to make the changes you need in your life? I'm here to help you reach your goals and full potential through solution-based therapy. With 25 years of clinical experience, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, children, and families, helping them find focus and achieve their goals. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. My career began in the child dependency field, where I worked closely with children and families. Currently, I serve as an emergency room social worker in a hospital setting, providing brief interventions to patients who have experienced traumatic events or recent life changes. Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals from newborns to older adults, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, career obstacles, death and dying, loss, and trauma. My therapy style is open and non-judgmental, rooted in respect and compassion. I primarily use solution-based and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) modalities. I believe that a good fit between therapist and client is crucial, and I'm always open to feedback to ensure our relationship benefits you the most. Together, we can create weekly goals to work towards the long-term changes you seek. I understand that seeking therapy is a significant step, and I'm here to support you on this journey. If you're ready to take that step, I'm here to help you navigate and achieve the changes you desire. I look forward to working with you!
