“The past year and a half of therapy with Margaret has very much changed my life. I have grown more than I thought possible and learned more than I was ever willing to before. She has helped me to achieve my personal mental health goals and continues to help me change my perspective on life in general. Her positivity radiates through the screen with her warm smile and friendly greeting. Every week her first question is "What's been going well?" This has helped me to look for the silver lining in every situation!! I would highly recommend her to family and friends! Or anyone for that matter. ”

What should a new client know about working with you?

Meet Peggy, a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Functional Medicine Health Coach, and Certified Life Coach. With over 15 years of expertise, Peggy is dedicated to helping individuals like you overcome mental roadblocks that are hindering your success. Throughout her private practice, Peggy has worked with individuals and families, providing counseling services and empowering them to break free from the limitations that keep them small or stuck. She firmly believes in your potential and will always advocate for your growth, whether it's in your thinking, behavior, beliefs, or in the world around you. She recognizes the importance of taking action to create lasting change and often recommends "Action Steps," or homework assignments, between sessions to help solidify your progress. When you engage in sessions with Peggy, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment. Together, you will work to identify the thoughts, feelings, and actions that are holding you back from becoming the best version of yourself in various areas of your life. Peggy will assist you in setting goals, developing strategies for dealing with life's challenges, improving relationships, managing stress, enhancing self-image, and boosting self-confidence. Her focus is on helping you become the best version of yourself in all areas of your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Going through therapy with a therapist can be a very beneficial experience for individuals who want to work through their mental health challenges and improve their overall well-being. Here are some steps you can take to make the most of your therapy experience: - Find the right therapist: The first step is to find a therapist who is a good fit for you. Look for someone who specializes in the type of issues you want to address and whose style matches your preferences. I hope I can be that person for you. - Set clear goals: It's important to have clear goals for therapy so that you and I are on the same page. In our first session, we will discuss your goals and work together to create a treatment plan that outlines the steps you will take to achieve those goals. - Try to be open and honest with me about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am here to help you, and I can only do so if I have a clear understanding of what's going on. - Trust the process: Therapy can be a long process, and it's important to trust that the work you're doing with me will pay off in the end. It's also important to be patient and not expect instant results. - Practice self-care: In addition to attending therapy sessions, it's important to practice self-care on a regular basis. This may include activities such as exercise, meditation, or spending time with loved ones. - Keep an open mind: Finally, it's important to keep an open mind and be willing to try new things. As your therapist, I may suggest different techniques or approaches that you haven't tried before, and it's important to be receptive to these suggestions. Remember, therapy is a collaborative process between you and me, so be sure to communicate your thoughts and concerns along the way. With the right mindset and a willingness to work, therapy can be a transformative experience that helps you achieve your goals and improve your quality of life.

Working with Margaret was nothing short of a God sent! Through Faithful Counseling she was immediately there when I needed it most. In working with a different therapist and company all together, and feeling like I was getting nowhere, Margaret showed up and put her knowledge to the test. Having her there and responding to my messages that I would send her made it more personal and we bonded better than any other therapist I worked with. She has tools that are amazing to help you when you are stuck on bad patterns. And if and when I need therapy again, she will be the therapist I will search for to help me. I recommend Margaret Dunn to be that person you need for healing!
